Tricks And To Many Treats

We started of our Halloween day by baking cupcakes for Andrew to take to work.  After all of our hard work in the kitchen we gathered all of our Halloween books from our book collection and spent a good portion of our morning reading.

Emmett was a little spider this year for Halloween.  He loved his costume and even got use to the fangs on his hood being in his eyes.  Most people thought he was a dinosaur, or a monster.  To us he was a sweet little tarantula!

He spends the majority of his day packing around his giraffe blankie that his Grandma made him.  The past few weeks he has become so attached to it, and throws huge fits if he has to leave it behind.
After naps we went to the costume parade in downtown Rogers.  Brinlee enjoyed all the complements she received on her amazing dress and sweet hair.
Emmett got a tootsie roll and he was in heaven

It is so different not having to bundle kids up to stay warm on Halloween.  The weather was perfect and we were even a bit hot and sweaty after our adventure downtown.
After the parade, Brinlee finished making some cupcakes for our neighbors.
It is a tradition to have a pumpkin shaped pizza on all hollows eve.
Pizza is Emmetts most favorite food.

After dinner we had a fun time dressing up the cat.  Brinlee bought her Baria bear (the build a bear) a Marida outfit.  She gets coupons in the mail every month from Build A Bear workshop and every once in a while we take her to pick something out for her bear.  The Brave costume for her bear came with the dress and wig.  We striped Baria of her Brave outfit and put it on Jenna.   It was a perfect fit!  Jenna could care less.  She was just excited to be included.

The time came to go Trick or Treating
Sorry for the blurry pictures, but my phone is having a hard time.

Emmett just spent his time following his sister and dragging his trick or treat bag behind him.

Andrew met up with us after he got home from work.

And perfect for Halloween:  Emmett is working on getting his vampire teeth.
All of the festivities made fore one tired buddy boy.
After we put the baby to bed, we did our tradition of laying out all the candy and playing board games.  We eat as much candy as we can physically stand, and then some.  Its the one day where we allow this.  Tomorrow, no candy will exist.

I love my little pumpkins!

Andrew and I heading to a murder mistory party.
I was Janis Joplin.  Andrew was Elvis Presley.  He would have made the king proud.
